Freestyle Friday: Heat Wave

You have to love summer…

It brings out the best in creative beauty trends

Summer is in full swing as of June 20 and the sun is letting us know that it will certainly be a hot one! So I’ve put together a short list of a few things I have decided to try and share that can keep you looking fresh during this heat wave.

SUGARING – This goes for men and women who wax as a hair removal procedure. I had a sugaring done about a week and a half ago and must say I am hooked! Sugaring is safe for sensitive skin ans uses all natural ingredients. It is water soluble and leaves the skin soft without ingrown hairs. I will talk about this more in a future article.

GRAPESEED OIL – This is a great skincare treatment! I love essential oils anyway but for the past two weeks I have used grape seed oil faithfully on my skin when I get out of the shower when my skin is still damp. It absorbs into the skin very quickly without a greasy residue. It also helps to reduce the appearance of stretch marks, fine lines and wrinkles.

REVITALIFT TRIPLE POWER – Another product that I have only been using a short time. I decided to give this Deep Acting Moisturizer a go as a product test for Influenster. So, I ditched the rest of my moisturizing products and have been using this for seven days thus far. I’m experiencing a small break out which is normal when you change your routine. However my skin is much more hydrated, I can definitely already feel the difference in texture.

TINTED MOISTURIZER – Ladies, I have been pleasantly surprised with Trish McEvoy Beauty Booster! I use one pump in the palm of my hand and then evenly distribute over my entire face and neck. No need for heavy and weighted foundation in this heat. You can put a little powder over it or leave as is, totally up to you. You still get a nice veil of coverage, has SPF in it and allows you to create a seamless makeup application. This product can be found at Nordstrom or Neiman’s.

QUICK TIP: Remember that beauty products have a shelf life so in extreme weather conditions it affects the longevity. Don’t leave your skincare, hair care or makeup products in your vehicle or even indirect sunlight. They should be kept in a cool environment to be best preserved.

We have to pull double duty on beauty regiments. With a few of the aforementioned product suggestions I hope that it gives you some ideas. If you are interested in sharing what you are doing this summer with regard to beauty, health and wellness please reach out to us. Until then, stay hydrated during this heat wave!
