Now that you have a better understanding of the skin types the question remains as how to determine undertones. The best way to classify tones is as warm, cool and neutral.

  • Warm Undertone: Peachy, Golden & Yellowish
  • Cool Undertone: Red, Pink & Blue
  • Neutral: A mixture of these which and also those hard to determine

An easy way to help you find out your tone is by looking at the veins in your arm. If your veins are green you are warm tone, if they are blue or purple then you are cool tone.

The key in caring for your skin is first understanding your skin and how it responds to the environment. That environment is both external and internal, sleep, healthy diet, water, cleansing, moisturizing and exfoliating are all imperative. If you have any questions on how to combat specific skin concerns it is always best to consult a Dermatologist or a Licensed Esthetician.
