We have curated a small list of items we believe you should give a try this spring. Some of the brands may be new to you but I am all about supporting the small business owner so take a moment to put these on your radar:
Juvia’s Place – I read an article about minority owned brands and decided to see what the company was all about. Following this, I visited their Instagram page and was blown away by the packaging and how affordable the eye shadow was. I absolutely had to place an order. My palette has arrived and it is so vibrant, I cannot wait to give it a go.
Ulta Beauty Lip Oil – A few weeks ago I visited Ulta to purchase a couple skin care products for a friend and stumbled across the Lip Oil. There were only four to choose from in-store since it was on sale. Online the their are six juice infused oils to choose from. I selected the Jojoba & Peach and I have been using it faithfully in the morning after I brush my teeth and in the evening right before going to bed. It is a go-to for me in the dry climate in which I live.
Monsieur Sharp – Fellas you are not being left out here! The beard trend has no signs of letting up anytime soon so for those who want to have soft hair and hydrated skin give this a try. I tried this product out not long ago on a few men I had the pleasure of grooming for a fashion show. Each guy that I applied it to had nothing but great things to say about the smell and how it felt on their face & hair. Get rid of that prickly stubble!
Mario Badescu – I have been hearing a lot of great things about this brand so when I noticed the facial spray in an area store my eyes immediately fixated on it. Rose Water is one of the most gentle yet nourishing items that the skin can have. A product with fragrance used on the face is not something I recommend but I still made the purchase, so glad I did. It is very refreshing to spritz on the skin after the cleansing step and also makes a great setting spray following makeup application.
First Aid Beauty – This product was initially recommended to me by another beauty professional. Since I am big on trying products myself before using on a client I added this to my regimen. After a deep exfoliation one evening I applied the Ultra Repair Cream all over my face. It burned for a few seconds but I attributed that to how aggressive my facial was. The next day I washed my face as normal, applied all over and did not have any sensation. This product works great as a day time moisturizer before applying your makeup.
If you are interested in purchasing any of these products click on the brand name and it will take you directly to the website. Add these items to your medicine cabinet and give them a fair shake, try them for at least 45-days. Please give us your feedback on how it works or even if it did not work for you.
