Menswear Monday: This Hat

This week’s featured looks is my personal favorites for a number of reasons. This look actually came to be from experimenting with different style and color combinations. I have never been a fan of pairing black with browns or tans. Until this look I had never paired the two, but it works!!! Another area I wanted to push was making a t-shirt work with casual Friday at work.

I always touch on how to make one item in your work in multiple settings. The slacks in the look I have worn with a button up and tie for a business casual look. When paired with a t-shirt and ball cap it works for many casual settings.

The t-shirt is just a plain black tee with a curved extended cut. I am sure many tall, bigger men have the same problems I do. If I go up in sizes the shirt gets wider in all the wrong areas but not longer. These shirts are perfect!!

In this look I added a baseball cap to tie the look together, but it works without the ball cap. Because there is so much black in the look the rust colored slacks become the pop color.

This looks works for casual Friday, happy hour (with cap), guys night, sporting events, night out. Remove the cap and your ready for a date night.
