Womenswear Wednesday: Don’t worry I brought a Boom Box :)

This outfit ended up turning out better than I expected. I really was only trying to figure out what I could pair with this amazing boom box clutch from ALDO. From the moment I laid eyes on it, I knew it needed to be in my closet. Does anyone else feel that way about certain items (whether it’s clothes, shoes or accessories)? Well, I’m happy to say it is officially mine and I can’t wait to bring it to my next event.

Anywho, back to the outfit!

A style rule for me is I like to create a focal point for every outfit I wear. Normally, I like for one item whether it’s shoes, the dress or bag to be what draws the attention. So, for this outfit of course it’s the bag. The easiest way to let it stand out is go monochromatic.

All black is never a bad idea and all of the accents are gold which is subtle given the boom box bag has a gold handle and subtle gold detailing.

Let me apologize in advance for the more cleavage heavy look as it’s not really my norm for the blog; however, sometimes it is completely in line with the look I am going for. As you can probably tell this is definitely a look that is best worn for a night out.

Here are the outfit details:
Romper: Fashionnova
Belt: ASOS (similar)
Heels: Fashinnova (similar)
Boom Box: ALDO
Bracelet: Curiios (similar)

This romper is definitely versatile as well, it can be dressed up as shown or you can take off the belt, thrown on a pair of black heels and a leather jacket and keep it casual chic.  The romper is a great alternative to a dress as well.

Since this is rapidly becoming one of my favorite shoots, I’ll share a few more “outtakes” from the shoot. All photography is by Holley (you can find her on IG @l_holley) and the style assistant on set was Patrice (IG @chantel.styles).

Natural wavy hair for the win

How can you not swoon over that Curiios bracelet??
