Womenswear Wednesday: Heels are my best friend

For Memorial Weekend I headed to Chicago to have a long overdue girls weekend. This girl was also very excited to get out this heat even if it was for only a few days. To be honest, most of the weekend was either out with the girls at some party or lounging around my best friend Joanna’s apartment and watching Law & Order SVU reruns (sounds like a dream right?). Since there were such big extremes in lounging vs partying, I recycled some looks from the past and focused more on my heels.

Most of my outfits for the weekend were reruns of previous looks, but the high heel game was upgraded. So, today I wanted to share with you the heel point of view for two of my favorite looks.

The first one I was super excited to wear in May since it was just cool enough (weather wise) to wear out (and also we didn’t make it out til almost 1am since my flight was delayed 2 hours!).

You have seen these boots before this past winter on the blog and they continue to be a crowd pleaser. I actually had bought these back in August during a different trip to Chicago and I knew they had to get in my closet, even tho AZ was still sweltering in 100 degree weather for the next two months. I found them at Agaci (this is a similar pair). I would definitely say these are more casual boots that can be paired with a tshirt dress or with a mini skirt and body suit. Here is the complete look

The dress is an oversized T from City Royals and red checkered shirt is an old one from Forever 21 as well as the side bag is from Forever 21.

My other heel look from this weekend is definitely screaming summer time fun. I had just bought these heels right before this trip and wasn’t quite sure if I would really like them given how bold the color was. However, that rapidly changed and these will definitely be in the summer rotation.

Hot pink heels and a white manicure is the official look for Summer (this is your official notice). Because the weather changes so quickly in Chicago, I decided to opt for jeans and a body suit for the day party. I wrapped a button down around the waist (this helps define the waist when a belt doesn’t go with the outfit). You can find a similar pair of heels here Lolashoetique .

I will also be sharing more outfits with these hot pink cuties over the next few months so stay tuned!

Lastly, tomorrow June 1 kicks off our 30 Days of LIVE on Facebook and Instagram (follow us on both under Fashion to Fit You). We are re-introducing ourselves to the many new followers we’ve accumulated over the past year. We kick off tomorrow at 6pm AZ time (9pm EST) and will be going over a new topic every day so make sure to tune in! We will also be answering any questions you may have so comment below or ask during the session!

Stay Fashionable,

Sarah
