Honestly, this striped dress almost didn’t make it into my closet and I am still a bit on the fence. Why you may ask? While, I love the cut of the top (a vneck is forever flattering), the lower half of this dress puffs out a little more than I would like. You can kind of see what I am talking about below.
However, as you can see the dress has made it into my closet AND onto the blog. I can say with certainty it is a must have for spring. The fabric is light and breathable which is a must have in the AZ spring (which feels more like Summer everywhere else). Oh and it has pockets (as I “mature” pockets are rapidly becoming my new love on a dress or romper).
I like to keep the white and blue stripes light with a tan braided belt and a simple strapped bag that keeps the focus on the dress. However, if you know me.. you know I love heels so I wanted to add a pop of color to my heels. These yellow heels are becoming my new fave and you will definitely see them making multiple appearances this Summer!
Like I had stated in previous posts, a v neck on a dress or shirt is always going to be the most slimming cut you can wear. It elongates the neck and the diagonal lines connecting the v will always appear slim. In addition, being more busty like myself, it helps show a bit of cleavage but not too much.
This summer will be full of rompers and dresses because I have found that is the easiest way to keep cool in the blistering heat that will soon be descending onto Phoenix. I can’t wait to share with you some of my favorites over the next coming months.
